a prayer encounter

Doris Wagner is the wife of Peter Wagner, whose teaching on church growth at Fuller Theological Seminary has had a great impact on many. Doris is currently CEO of Global Harvest Ministries, but her special personal ministry is prayer for deliverance. She sums up years of experience in deliverance ministry in this helpful paperback accurately described as "a Guide to the Basics." It's not that Doris wanted to launch into a ministry of deliverance. She shares in her introduction, "My personality type is that of a phlegmatic, a peacemaker who can't stand conflict. I asked the Lord why he put me in the position of heaving to deal with demons, when I like peace around me. Then it dawned on me that my job was to fix it so others could have the peace from torment for which they long. So, I am a `fix it' person. My prayer is that this practical book will help those of you called to this ministry to take advantage of what it has taken me years to learn." This book should be considered a Classic for those interested in deliverance ministry. It teaches much and includes prayers at the back for freeing oneself from generational curses due to FreeMasonry connections. One gains a good understanding of our authority in Christ Jesus and the tactics and subtleties of Satan. The owner of the first review (Bertoni) would be wise to READ the book. Satan won that battle by scaring him into NOT reading it. By his laughing at the book, the demon caused him to believe that it was of no value. It decieved him! If you don't know who you are in Christ, you have NO authority....and demons know who does and who does not have that authority.

Great warfare tool.

This is a great book to begin working with people in the area of deliverance. It doesn't get too indepth while not sacrificing the basics you need. Also contains sample questionaires, etc.

Excellent basics for this subject

This book is an excellent basic source for any individual wanting to learn about the awesome ministry that every Christian has the ability to do. I have seen amazing miraculous personality problems/habits/addictions change and complete physical healing in individuals who have received a little or a lot of "deliverance" from demonic oppression. This is an absolute must read for any Christian who seeks to walk in the ministry and life-style that Jesus did, and all Christians can. I loved this book!
