re-envision your prayer life!

"How to be Heard in Heaven" is a great book. It is insightful and eye-opening. Most people understand the basics of prayer. We learn from listening to others and often subconsciously imitate them (right or wrong). What Eddie Smith brings forth in this book is that there are some prayers we pray that are not worth praying. I.e., we pray "wrong" prayers, and then get frustrated when the Lord does not answer them. Eddie helps us realign our thinking so that we see prayer for what it is -- communion with God. And we re-think what prayer is supposed to accomplish -- finding our Father's will and getting into agreement with it. Only then can we be sure that the Lord has (a) heard our prayers and that (b) they will be answered. If you are stuck in a rut, and your prayers are not being answered, you need "How to be Heard in Heaven". I encourage you to (1) buy this book, (2) open your Bible, (3) ask the Lord to teach you to pray, and then (4) allow the wisdom Eddie shares to lead you through scripture so you can learn to pray effectively. Move away from what you want (selfish, need-driven) to what the Lord wants for you (selfless, God-driven) and see the change in your prayer life take place. A great book! An easy read! An unforgettable revelation!

Change Your Perspective About Prayer

Eddie Smith has written about a universal topic of prayer. Almost anyone from any religious background prays. This book will change your perspective about prayer. I know it did for me. In the introduction, Smith writes, "This book is about change. Writing it has changed me. Reading it will change you. If you, like me, are dissatisfied with the general ineffectiveness of your prayer life and want to step up to a new dimension of revelation that will unlock the heavenlies and release God's power, both in your own love and in the lives of those you love, then welcome aboard. Fasten your seat belt! You are the very person I've been waiting for." (page 21) Now that is a pretty big promise for this book. Smith delivers on that promise throughout the pages of this well-written, thoughtful treatment. He combines his personal experiences with practical teaching which is Bible-based yet contains unique twists. I suspect you will be reaching for your yellow highlighter to mark these pages so you can return to them often. I did. Get this book because it's a tremendous resource to build your personal life of prayer.
