I recently found this book in my school's library. There are two reasons why I checked it out. Number 1: I am very interested in how society's impossible demands on people, make everyone think they are fat and needs to lose wieght. Number 2: I wanted to lose wieght and I figured this could help. So I check it out and read it. It is a great book that, from the way the author writes, is written by a person who lost wieght and kept it off.

This book really motivated me and gave me so many helpful hints that helped the weight come off. It helps you deal with how to eat what your mother makes for dinner and not go off your diet, how to cope witht the guilt when you slip-up, how to handle friends and family members who might encourage you to fail, and offers a plan that is actually do-able. I read this book several times throughout my dieting process and each time I found something new that helped me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to lose weight without losing their minds!

Although I'm not a teenage girl, I was once, and I read this book before letting my daughter read it. I thought it was well done... it was humorous, but gave very sensible, sound advice that most diets or eating plans omit. I think the info would be great for adults who are chronically dieting.
