As an acting instructor for over 20 years, I can speak from experience when I say that Tom Logan has brilliantly presented this "How to" guide for aspiring actors! Tom offers a realistic view of the industry in an entertaining and very humorous way while still managing to guide the serious actor through the hoops of what it takes to get started in the biz. From headshots to auditions, agents and more, Tom knows his stuff! As a former working actor who has logged years of primetime experience and now a successful TV and film director, he is able to offer the psychology of the industry from both the actor's and director's point of view. My advice? DO NOT start a professional career without first reading this book from cover-to-cover!
Excellent Book for Beginners in the Biz!

This and Tom Logan's other book, "Acting in the Million Dollar Minute" helped me become a working actor -- someone who is actually making a living acting. There is so much good advice here for either beginners or people whose careers are at a standstill. From head-shots to Unions, he covers it all.
