Though no longer a fat girl, Elsie, now fifteen, still has trouble believing anyone could love her and that old fear threatens her relationship with her boyfriend. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read the book Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade when I was younger and I loved it. I only recently discovered there were two other books written about Elsie Edwards. This one takes place four years after the first book, when Elsie is a freshman in high school. She is now slender, attractive, and popular. She catches the eye of Craddock, the most popular boy in school. They begin dating, but their relationship is continually threatened by Elsie's insecurity. Considering the experiences of her past, it's not hard to understand why Elsie would feel she is not worthy of Craddock. This is a very real book, all about different kinds of relationships, whether they be between lovers, friends, or children and parents.
Losing Trust

LOSING TRUST THE BOOK WAS ABOUT ELISIE HAVING A BOYFRIEND AND HOW THEY KEPT ON HAVING PROBLEMS, BECAUSE OF DISTRUST IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP. I LIKE THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT SHOWS HOW SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TRUST ONE ANOTHER. I THOUGHT ELISIE WAS KIND OF DUMB BECAUSE SHE TRUSTED HER FRIEND TOO EASILY. SOMETIMES HER FRIEND DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.THE SETTING IS IN A REGULAR NEIGHBORHOOD.THE BOOK WAS EASY TO READ.
