The book is in both English and Spanish. Great for ages preschool to elementary school. Funny, entertaining, and will capture young readers' attention, while also getting children to learn about managing their emotions, expressing their feelings in a positive way, and how to develop and improve their coping skills. Great for educators to do Read Aloud's with students, and great for parents to read with children. There are several pages in the book containing resources and tips for Parents and Educators. This includes opening the lines of communication with children, tips for handling their emotions, and even a reward-based system for children learning how to manage and take charge of their own emotions. Young Readers can read on their own, or parents or teachers can read with them. Funny, Exciting, and Informative! You and your child will not be disappointed! Why the name Timmy Taco? Great question. We have a lot of traditions with our family, even daily and simple things. We want to make as many memories with our children as possible. Every Tuesday in our home we have Taco night. That is one of their favorite meals and they look forward to it. When my oldest son was 4 years old (now 14), he told me he was going on a "Taco Diet". He wanted to eat tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's something we still laugh about all the time. We enjoy our Taco night with our family, and I wanted to incorporate that into this book. The author of the book., Danielle Maria M.S.Ed., Doctoral Candidate, is an elementary school teacher, a college professor, and a mother, who has been working in the education field for over a decade. She has a bachelor's degree in childhood education with an extension in early childhood education and a minor in English and multicultural literature. She has a master's degree in English TESOL education. She will be graduating this year with her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction in education. Teaching children to be mindful of themselves and their surroundings is so important to their social, emotional, and overall development. This book can definitely help with that! The translator of the book, Maria Junior LCSW-R came to the USA at the age of two with her mother and father, who were escaping the civil war in El Salvador. They settled and formed their lives on Long Island, New York. Maria has been a social worker for over fifteen years and always believed in helping younger generations find their strengths and promote positive thinking to become the best version of themselves. The author and translator of the book also own a company together on Long Island, New York providing educational and therapeutic-based services for children, adolescents, and families.
