This brief "gift" style hardcover book provides more detail than one would expect from such a short treatment of the history of America's sexual revolution. Written from a Christian perspective, this book just may open your eyes to the main topics covered which I list here from the Table of Contents: 1. The Emergence of the Sexual Subculture in America 2. The Sexual Revolution 3. The Sex-For-Sale Industry 4. The Sexploitation of Youth In this brief overview, author Steve Gallagher of Pure Life Ministries informs the reader about Alfred Kinsey's "research" and his influence within academia and the emergence of Sex Education within our government education system. The reader then learns about Hugh Hefner, the originator of Playboy and its subsequent competitors such as Hustler and Penthouse. In the chapter on Sex-For-Sale, the author discusses the emergence of various forms of pornography, including distribution via the Internet. He ends his brief treatment of the history of America's sexual revolution, discussing the impact on young people in the final chapter.
