Cinnamon Sticks to Stop Cats From Digging Plants

This is a wonderful book. My wife and I have used it so much it has worn pages. All of the hints we have tried, are great.We had a riotous laughter session, when we tried one of the hints. It is under: Planning Pet Care / Keeping Cats and Dogs / Adapting Your Home / Discouraging digging, on page 52. It suggests using cinnamon sticks in potted plants to discourage cats or dogs from digging in the pots. We bought some cinnamon sticks to try this. As I was opening the container, my cat, MoJo, jumped into my lap to check it out, and I expected him to run away. The cinnamon stick is now his favorite chew toy.

Great reference

You can find the solution fast in this book. It is well-indexed, and the pages are laid out well with photos and related tips. Space is at a premium for me, so it helps that this valuable tome is only 1/2-inch thick.I used my book today to learn how to refresh some stale bread. The book had a separate hint for crackers. Elsewhere it suggested adding a pinch of salt to ground coffee to reduce bitterness - who knew!

A book I couldn't get by without!!!

This is a great book. I refer to it almost weekly to help with household "problems". These problems become obsolete after following the tips in this book. A great gift idea!
