Phenomenal!

In simple terms, using hard facts, William Pitt lays out exactly how and why our ship of state, America, has lost her rudder. No name-calling, no straw man arguments, no ad hominem attacks, just clear, factual arguments on how America has suffered under the present administration. Should be required reading in current events and history classes.

Read this and weep, America

An excellent essay on the ravages inflicted on this great nation by the few who needed a war in the Middle East at the sacrifice of our nation's reputation and abilities to negotiate and use diplomacy to end conflict. This should be required reading for the Administration and all members of Congress. Another excellent, finger-on-the-pulse writing from Mr. Pitt.

A must read for all Americans!

This is an excellent book which lays out the truth about the Bush Administration. If you love America, read this book as soon as possible. The author has a gift for writing with such clarity, you will read through it with ease. I finished this book in one sitting, as I could not put it down. Now I have passed it on to family and friends. I highly recommend that you purchase this book.

I really enjoyed this book.

Although I normally don't like essay collections, I found this one to be an easy read. William Rivers Pitt seems to be almost prescient when one looks at the date of the essays, and then sees what has happened in this country since then. Mr. Pitt's writing is excellent - the reason I normally don't care for collections of writings is that I find them boring. Not in this case. The writing style is engaging, the work is obviously well researched, as well as passionate, and most of all, Mr. Pitt's writing can bring out your emotions, as few writers can. Some of his writings almost brought me to tears, some made me angry, but there is humor, as well. I am very glad I bought and read this book - I learned a lot, and enjoyed doing it.

A well written truthful book

Whether we like to admit it or not, the Bush administration has left us in a mess. Iraq, Katrina, Oil dependency, 911 happening on their watch.... This book takes us back and lets us revisit these troubling issues, so hopefully we can correct the mistakes and not let them happen again. Those that are critical of this book - have. not. read. it. When was the last time people were so afraid of a book, or the truth? It tells you that there is something worth reading here. And there is.
