Hot Whipers of An Irishman

Vi Kilbride has returned to Country Kilkenny to clean out, and sell the cottage her Grandmother left to her. She needs the money to put her brothers through school. While she is there she comes face to face with the one man she hoped to never see again, Liam Rafferty. She loved him with all her heart years ago, but something tore them apart, will it keep them apart today? Vi finds out that he's interested in an old story of gold buried on her property, and he believes that if he finds it, it will belong to him. Liam Rafferty hears that Vi, his first true love is back in town. He doesn't believe it until he sees her with his own eyes. Liam then becomes interested in the long ago story of two of their relatives, and missing gold. He goes in search of the gold. He needs the money to get himself out of debt that his business partner caused. How can these two agree on what to do with the gold, will it keep them apart or bring them together? HOT WHISPERS OF AN IRISHMAN is a great story of two characters that face obstacles at every turn, you never know if it will tear them apart or bring them closer. I wasn't sure what to think when I started this story, but after a few pages I was drawn into the plot, and into the characters lives. Due to the authors wonderful way with words I was able to visualize the Ireland countryside. Dorien Kelly has out done herself once again. Reviewer for Romance Junkies

Hot Whispers of an Irishman

Violet "Vi" Kilbride has decided to finally sell the cottage left to her by her Nan; the same woman from whom Violet has inherited her gift of the second sight. Cleaning out the cottage and preparing it for sale brings Violet back to Duncarraig and her first love, Liam Rafferty. Liam had broken her heart before and has the power to do so again. Liam is now divorced and home from America with his twelve year old daughter. Seeing Vi again is exciting and immediately passion flares between them. But Liam's quest to recover the legendary Rafferty's gold threatens their newly rekindled relationship. For the gold may have once been owned by the Raffertys, but it was given to Vi's ancestor and if the gold is recovered, it should belong to Vi. So Vi sets out to recover it on her own. Using his hi-tech gadgetry, Liam sets out to find the treasure. But is it a match for Vi's second sight? And will the lure for Rafferty's gold destroy Vi and Liam's relationship? I am fond of romances where the hero and heroine have a romantic past. I want so much for them to make it the second time around. I felt that way for Vi and Liam. They both deserved a second chance at love. I wanted them to find happiness together after all they had been through. And I also wanted them to find the treasure! That added element of the search for riches made Hot Whispers of an Irishman even more satisfying. I love a good hunt! With sensual romance and a quest for legendary golden treasure, Hot Whispers of an Irishman is a perfect ending to this terrific trilogy. Annabelle Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

A Sweet Irish Tale...

Ms. Kelly's third book in her "Ballymuir" series is full of larger than life characters that will jump off the pages for the reader. This story is full of Irish magic and love and will entertain the reader for sure. Vi Killbride wants to clean up her Nan's property, sell it, and move on with her life. She hopes that she will be able to slide in and out of the village without any notice from the Rafferty family. Well, even the best of plans can change and when she is brought face to face with her childhood sweetheart, all of the feelings she once felt for the handsome Liam Rafferty come right back to life. So, what does this fiery Irish lass do? She faces it head on and allows her heart to become engaged once again. With a little help from Nan, a treasure hunt, and one sassy dog named Rog, Vi just might find her hearts desire. Liam is back home, trying to salvage what's left of his business, trying to raise his daughter, and looking for treasure all at the same time. He also wants to rekindle what once burned bright and hot between him and Vi. He wants to feel his heart beat right once again. Will he find his treasure at the end of the rainbow? Liam and Vi's romance was very sweet. I love reads where the characters already have an established past. It makes the romance all the sweeter. Family, treasure, and romance are all a part of this wonderful read. This is one read I have no problems recommending. I do suggest that you have kleenex handy...you might just need it. fine Ballymuir tale

Vi Killbride sneaks into Ballymuir, Ireland to get her late grandmother Nan's dilapidated property, ignored by her for a decade, ready for sale in less than two weeks. She insists she does not need the place with its ghostly haunts because Nan is in her heart. Vi also plans to remain below the radar scope of the Rafferty family, especially since she never fully got over loving Liam Rafferty. However, her best laid plans quickly falls apart when she runs into Liam. He is a single father having divorced his wife in America and has come home after fifteen years away so that his extended family will be there for his daughter. Vi realizes she still loves Liam and makes room in her heart for his daughter Meghan. Meanwhile Liam reluctantly begins to feel the same way, but has doubts about a long term relationship. Together they seek a hidden treasure, but both know that the real riches in life are love. This second chance at love is a fine Ballymuir tale enhanced by the treasure seeking, which is handled differently by various people, but most interesting is Vi's whispers to Nan for help. The story line is whimsical in that Brigadoon magical sort of way just like its predecessors (see THE LAST BRIDE IN BALLYMUIR and HOT NIGHTS IN BALLYMUIR), but that also serves as a double edge blade since there is a sense of déjà vu to the plot. Still the lead couple is a sensual delightful pairing who grips the audience from the first reunion until the final challenge to their relationship. Harriet Klausner
