I liked this book!

This was my first Arabesque Romance book and I loved it! It wasn't as realistic as I would have liked, but it was enjoyable. This was the kind of book that was not sex obsessed and "macky-girl" attitude like a "Flyy Girl" book would be. It was basically romance between two people with their own un-enjoyable pasts.I fell in LOVE with the people of this book as if they were my own family. And Quentin Brooks, mmmm, he KNOWS he is fine!

Secrets create an unwanted breeze on those HOT SUMMER NIGHTS

Bobbi Cunningham does not believe in fairytales. She has a somewhat jaded opinion of love, mating, and the availability of a `good' man. "...I know happily ever after doesn't live in my neighborhood. Finding a good man is like...finding a four-leaf clover. You spend hours searching through the grass and never get lucky." Quen Brooks has something to say about Bobbi's ornery attitude towards love, romance, and good men. Quen & Bobbi meet at a class they are both taking. A project on prisons has them paired and butting heads. The class and Quen make Bobbi ponder and maybe even reconsider her position on love, men, and prison inmates. Both Quen and Bobbi have family issues they contend with throughout the novel. A whirlwind of attraction sweeps Bobbi and Quen away into their own love affair; however, the secrets they each harbor and keep from the other creates an undercurrent of danger that could extinguish the fire in their romance. This is an enjoyable love story. It's full of realistic drama that occurs in families and relationships. No sugar coated fairytale situations in this novel. The story is strong and the characters are vivid and real.
