Vegan Cookbooks

Hot Damn and Hell Yeah! Recipies for Hungry Banditos and the Dirty South Vegan Cookbook I love this vegan cookbook! This is a good starter cookbook for new vegans, it gives you informative pointers on tofu such as the different types, how to prepare and the use of tofu. When you are vegan you don't want to wait long to eat, it's an awesome cook book on "good food quick", and the dessert recipes are really good!

Excellent

Great and interesting--simple vegan recipes even I can follow! Finally, my experimentation has paid off. B.

2 in 1 - ONE being much better than TWO

This is actually two cooking zines in one binding. HDaHY is the best of the two - we use Ryan Splint's biscuit recipe and brownie recipe all the time. This is good basic grub. Love the illustrations, too. The Dirty South side wasn't as well edited - there are mistakes and missing bits here and there. Plus, the food just doesn't really "work" for me as much. Frankly - I suggest you by it for the Hot Damn side, but if you're a long-standing vegan looking for "something new" - this one isn't for you, probably.

Delicious Recipes

The name and cover of the book may be a little bit deceiving, but we have loved the recipes in this book! My husband's favorite is the taco filling - he can even make it on his own despite the fact that he is a notoriously horrible cook.

Two Zine-Style cookbooks in one!

I love this cookbook. It's my favorite vegan cookbook in my collection. The food is simple and uses a lot of readily-available ingridients. That and everything I've made from the cookbook is amazing. My favorite thing so far is biscuits and easy gravy from the Hot Damn and Hell Yeah! side of the book. But then, I'm a sucker for carbohydrate-loaded lumps of awesome smothered with salty, fattening goodness. This is DEFINATELY worth the price. I'd reccomend it to all of my vegan comrades, new and old alike. Besides, what's not to love about southern-style vegan food?
