Good coffee table book.

This is a good coffee table book or a good place to start if you are looking for information on horses in history and art. The plates are well chosen to illustrate their subjects, and details are provided for where the different pieces of art are currently stored or on display. On the other hand, it wasn't the detailed research work that I had been expecting and hoping for.

Amazing blend of exhaustive research, accesibility, and visual drama.

This book is an important addition to any library.
