Hope's Journey is about a young girl's growing-up in a small Ontario town, and into the adult years where the challenges she faced finally led her to God. It's a story of abuse, addiction, trauma and regret; a story of sexuality, mistakes and her eventual surrender to Jesus.
Judy came to know how her past almost destroyed her. Her hopes are that through her story others may see how they too can be released from a past that grips them like an iron fist. Truth is, everyone can find the peace she did and more. Her biography then exposes her life, and how God delivered her from guilt and her addiction to alcohol along with her struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She shares the depths of her pain and the heights of her joy as she came to know Jesus after a significant event that changed her life.
She was a little girl of thirteen when she was traumatized by the salacious desires of a much older man, becoming a victim of child sexual abuse. Regrettably, most of her life after was shaped and guided by that early experience. Finally, at a crossroad in her life she surrendered everything to God, saving both herself and her marriage. Her story is also about forgiveness, for in the end it was that forgiveness that freed her to be able to love again, and be loved without condition.
