Becky Thayne and her mother alternate in describing how Becky suffered as a young woman from manic depression, anorexia, and bulimia and how she eventually recovered. This description may be from another edition of this product.
It was good to put a face to the illnesses. The pain, grief, and sadness were real. Having the two points of view expressed was helpful because one got a better picture of what was really happening. There was no quick fix here but a determined, consistent support from the mother and the friend (future husband) that was key in her recovery. Eventual great counseling and medication also played their role. A truly helpful book.
Totally inspired me
