Honeycomb Island had all the beauty and splendor that brought tourists from all over the world to visit. Its large Victorian homes with wrap-around porches and the gothic Nottingham window boxes filled with deep red roses, bright yellow daffodils, and soft purple lilacs that from a distance looked more like velvet. From a short distance, residents could watch the thundering waves of ordinate blues as they sparkled against the ocean's cool, salty breezes that brought a feeling to everyone who visited that they were family and Honeycomb Island was home.
