Very interesting!

Very interesting read with a history in societies throughout the world and throughout recorded history. This book was published in 1995, and I so wish I could somehow read the authors insight on the social changes that have happened in the last 20+ years, particularly with the rise of the internet and social media and how it has changed some minds and led to ending DOMA, DADT, and bring about marriage equality in the US.

Vast Scope of History Handled Very Thoroughly

To cover such a vast stretch of historical distance between persons, places and events over a wide range of notable homosexual milestones in human history was surely a daunting task and is handled here surprisingly thoroughly. There's enough complexity for experts in the subject to be impressed, yet the material is simple and understandable enough even for rank amateurs and newcomers to the subject to benefit.
