#2 ALMOST A 4 PLUS - JUST DIDN'T MAKE IT!

This is the story of Nancy McGuire, widow of Eric McGuire from THE SECRET WIFE. Beau Stanton is trice-divorced and has his fourteen year old daughter dropped on his doorstep by his ex-wife Laurie. [We never learn much about the other two]. Beau and Nancy meet at THE PARENTS FLYING SOLO meeting. Nancy has issues with her father walking out on her and her mom and not being able to hold onto her husband to keep him from straying. She has now adopted a little girl from Russia and become great friends with Emily Patterson and her 4 children. She is not thrilled to be introduced to Beau and his daughter, Rachel. Beau cannot find a sensible way to commucate with Nancy about his hopes and fears. He ends up putting his foot in his mouth almost every time. Nancy keeps backing off even after inviting him into her bed. Will she ever grow up? Complications show up when her long lost dad shows up and then Beau's ex, Laurie. Laurie wants Rachel back. Oh Boy! Good enough story just too much trauma from the past. With no mature outlook on their parts. Ah well! a good read -m - but.
