Really enjoyed this book

I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Cliff's book, perhaps because I did not expect it to be a decorating book per se, nor do I think that was its intention. I took it to be a series of essays on what "home" actually meant to various people in different walks of life. There were times when I howled with laughter, seeing myself in their attitudes and experiences. The pictures are interesting and personal, some more and some less interior designy than others. I have taken classes in interior design and have amassed a large library of the best books published on the subject, and I have dealt antiques and art for a number of years. After all is said and done, I believe that a home is far more than the sum of its parts, and the essays in this book demonstrate this admirably. I recommend it.
