Holy Habits a must!

This is a wonderful eye opener.Mimi Wilson has truly helped me form Holy Habits. Christ has always been my Savior but I had never put things in the prospective that Mimi does. She tells wonderful stories as well as getting down to the point of HOLY HABITS!Thank you Mimi. I am doing a house cleaning of my heart with the help of your book.

A second bible for women!

As a woman and mother, this is the most inspirational and uplifting book I have ever encountered! I bought one for every woman in my family!

"Teach us to number our days aright"

This book is an outstanding book for Christian women wanting to live intentionally. This 12-chapter book is not difficult reading, but has many valuable insights which bear reflecting on. There are questions at the end of each chapter and I feel that taking the time to write out the answers and look up the pertinent verses is a valuable learning tool. It does, however, take much longer to get through the book that way! In the first part of the book, Mimi Wilson dealt with the different names of God and what those names mean to us in our practical day-to-day lives as Christians. She lists "Holy Habits" for us to follow. For example, God Is Elohim can be expressed by hooking yourself into his transcendance and looking for His fingerprints in the world and telling others about what you see. For God is Yahweh, the author recommended looking at every day as a gift from God. In the chapter on God as Yahweh-Shammah, the "holy habit" was to silence one's heart daily so we can be sensitive to God's presence. The last two chapters are entitled "Daily Contentment" and "Walking with the Eternal One" and I feel that they do the best job of summing up the main points of the book.The bibliography section is excellent as well (I often get ideas for other books to read from the list of recommended books!)This book would be ideal for a women's Bible Study group, or for individual study. If you're interested in books of this type, you might try Elizabeth George's books as well. May God bless you richly as you study His Word!

This book will change your life!

I love this book. I have grown so much, learned so much. The holy habits that you learn will make you a new person more open to God and more holy. I thought I needed to develop holiness myself but I have learned that God will do it but I need to open myself. The authors are so devout and they share their lives in such a open helpful way. This book is full of examples that will help you grow in the Lord. It is a 12 part bible study but I read it over and over. I love the parts about not complaining about ANYTHING not even the weather and the part about having a present next to your bed so its the first thing you see in the morning to remind you of Gods presents to you. It makes you thankful first thing in the morning. YOU will love this book.
