Excellent Translation at an Excellent Price

As an evangelist I am always looking for a great price for bulk orders of Bibles to hand out. The ESV is a trusted and solid translation and at the price of only .99 this price beats even Biblica Direct's palette pricing.

Good News about the Good News Bible

I like this Bible. I especially like the LARGE print. I like the Good News version. It's easy to read and understand. When I study the Bible, I keep several versions within arm's reach. Difficult passages are often made easier to interpret by comparing versions. I purchased one computer Bible program solely because it contained both the GNB and Message Bible versions. I highly recommend this Bible.

Greater Starter Bible

We hand out lots of Bibles and this is the perfect one. The translation is very easy for first time Bible readers of all ages. The reference section in the back is great. The price is also a blessing if you are handing out lots of them. This Bible is also great for seasoned Christians. It is a great reference when King James scriptures are hard to understand. WHAT A WONDERFUL BIBLE!!!! Everyone should have one!

Beautifully simple

This translation of the Bible is written in a way that is very easy to understand. It is not merely a "re-wording" of a previous translation (such as the NKJV), but is a translation that was created to be both true to the original Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic texts and also easy to follow. It is written at approximately a 7th grade reading level--not meaning it is aimed at a younger audience (as are some translations), but that it can easily be understood by all. I received my first GNB in the 9th grade, and even though I'm all grown up now and use primarily the NKJV for my studies, I still occasionally return to this Bible to help me get a better understanding of a text that is otherwise difficult for me. (I like to dig into ALL of the Word, not just the "easy" stuff.) This Bible, in my opinion, would be PERFECT for one who is unfamiliar with some of the "thickness" of the NKJV language, such as someone who is new to their faith or someone who does not hold English as their first language. I think that this is a very valuable study tool, and would honestly recommend it to anyone.
