"Hollywood Grifter" - (The complete story) is a hard to believe tale of the over three decade long international crime spree of Kansas City's most well know con-man, David Glen Riggs. The author met Dave when he was only 15, but already gearing up for a life a crime. The author and Riggs worked together producing radio and television jingles and were partners in a business till Dave's complete lack of a moral compass became obvious. Riggs hustled Kansas City bankers for a total of 4.3 million dollars, then took it on the lam just a step ahead of the FBI. Settling in South Africa, he hatched a plot to murder the Department of Interior officials and steal all the impounded Rhino Horn and Ivory, which he would then sell in Hong Kong. He got caught and spent a year imprisoned in Hong Kong, after which he was extradited back to the States where he served four years at the Leavenworth and Seagoville federal prisons. Upon release he went back into business in Atlanta and after becoming the center of controversy, moved to Tampa. A newspaper expose ended his stay. He moved to Los Angeles and scammed two movie companies out of approximately ten million dollars, bought a jet trainer and became the most infamous pilot of the 21st century.
