A fascinating mystery rich with metaphor & literary references

Blue Balliett has been one of my favorite authors for a long time, ever since I read her Chasing Vermeer series, and this novel doesn't fail to meet my expectations! Not only is it an exciting fast-paced mystery story, Hold Fast's family of characters jump off of the page with realism to further pull you in. It remains a favorite in my library to this day, even beyond my children's book days.
