My five year old loves it!!!

She ran around snorting and giggling (while I of course pretended to fall into a deep snorty snooze) and repeating in her best movie announcer book "Dread Pig of the Night!" We really enjoyed the book. The only negative might be that it is a bit difficult to follow some of the dialogue based on the treatment from the illustrator. But overall a great book worth getting.

We Love Hogula!

This is my daughter's favorite book. We read it every day! It's a fantastic read-out-loud story with a great message about the importance of friends. And, if you ask my daughter, the pictures of the bats are pretty of cute too.

Not just another pig book

My children and I love this picture book! We got it at Halloween but it's a story about friendship that works all year round. There are lots of little jokes in the pictures that the kids love to find and the sense of humor is pretty droll -- even I laugh out loud. A funny first book!

Hogula

Hogula is hog heaven for old piggley lovers and their youngish piglets. A snort for the whole family probably followed by explosions of juicy kisses and giggles before bedtime. The author, Jean Gralley, must have gone to the Funny Farm for inspiration for this one.

A wonderful first book for this writer/illustrator!

I thought this book was very funny and clever. The little jokes in the pictures made me and my children laugh outloud -- and it's about friendship, too!
