This translation has a very good reputation among German friends of mine. I have been reading it through and it flows nicely. It does use some very contemporary idioms that I did not know and have had to learn. It probably leans a little more toward being a paraphrase than some other German translations, like the 1984 Lutherbibel text. Like most German Bibles, it has a nice encyclopedic section similar to a Bible dictionary in the back of the volume. There is also a very nice introductory section in the front very nicely illustrated. It gives a good overview of the Bible.
