Hitorijime My Hero Volume 9 (Stormy Seas Ahead)

Masahiro has had enough of Natsuo and goes to the bar to confront him (with Asaya's spiritual/emotional support). While Masahiro deals with Natsuo, Kousuke takes care of Onda and Kaide while handling the lingering memories of his past with his father. No one is ever going to break up Kousuke and Masahiro. Houjou and Ayaka watch Natsuo's downfall while Kousuke rushes to the scene. Amid the confusion, Mary escapes the Ohshiba house (specifically from Shigeo and Sasa) and leaps into Natsuo's arms. Unknown to the main four characters, they gather a hunting party for Mary while Kousuke's old friends regroup at Relax Bar Mary. To make matters worse for Kousuke, Miho is forced to tell Kousuke that his father, whom he hates, is returning home. On the bright side, Masahiro is excited to hold the keys to his new apartment with Kousuke, but there is a catch. I like the part where Masahiro gets depressed, lying on the floor and demanding, "NO! THIS IS NOW MY HOUSE!" Meanwhile, Yunge is not letting up when asking Natsuo on a date. He is thrilled that Masahiro did what he did in hopes of increasing his chances of dating Natsuo. I enjoy seeing when Yunge found love at first sight and learning about Yunge's life. While something is going on between Asaya and Ken that he doesn't want to tell his best friend, Masahiro, about. The story ends with the boys (Masahiro, Asaya, Ken, Shige, Yamabe, and Chairman Yoshida) spending a day at the beach (without a permission slip for Kousuke). The bonus stories at the end are funny and intriguing. I also love the starry night sky background surrounding Kousuke, Masahiro, Asaya, Ken, Shigeo, Sasa, Yunge, Natsuo, Mary, and Shirou. Memeco Arii focuses on Kousuke's and Masahiro's relationship and Yunge's crush on Natsuo. I hope Kousuke and Masahiro enjoy their time living together; I can't wait to watch the cute couple in the next one. As much as I love the other characters, I wish to see Yunge and Natsuo blossom as a couple in the subsequent volumes. I am delighted Natsuo has slightly opened up to Yunge. The next step is Natsuo opening his whole heart to Yunge, but will he? I can't wait to read the next volume and find out. I recommend this BL manga and anime to anyone who enjoys this genre.
