Historical Survey of the Old Testament

For my Biblical studies at GCU, this was a book required for my class in Old Testament History. I found it to be very informative, enlightning, and I learned many new things that I had not previously been aware of. Excellent book.

Old Testament Details

While this book focuses on Old Testament History, you go over not only the big stories that everyone knows, but the lesser known sections as well. Understanding these less popular sections creates a deeper understanding of the favorites you grew up with. An excellent source of information on the Old Testament.

Merrill's Historical Survey of the OT

A very good read. Informative and engaging. Packs a ton of useful information into an efficient outline. Extremely helpful to those who are diving into the OT for the first time in a focused study.

Outstanding Book

I had to read this book as a text for O.T. Survey, a class I took while in Bible College. Mr. Merill wrote a wonderful book that does not confuse Bible students nor casts doubt on the certainty of the validity of the O.T. Scriptures. Great infromation and well documented. I also like his charts and foot notes.
