A Good Book to Understand Latinos in New York

I once saw this book in a Border's and read it right there. Funny enough, Ms. Ricourt is my professor and we are assigned to read this book this semester. I think it's a nice book without being too over "scientific" or boring the reader with lots of useless statistis and figures that don't add up to much. I think anyone who is a Latino in the NYC area or is just interested in Latinos. She (Ricourt) really has a good understanding of Latinos and their issues and can break it down so that anyone could understand it without oversimplifying it. It's not a really heavy book, so if you're into this it shouldn't take you long to read at all. Milagros Ricourt really is a cool person and a great teacher. This is a good book to have in general and is fun to read. Check the book out.
