One of the most difficult tasks for companies is hiring the right people. Greg Moran presents great strategies and techniques for building a recruitment system that allows you to evaluate candidate talent. He hits upon one of the most forgotten areas when hiring which is cultural fit. Great people fail in companies if the fit isn't right. Greg's "cultural fit profiler" provides the insight needed to determine if this is the right employee. Lee Salz, author of Soar Despite Your Dodo Sales Manager
Why do so many managers ignore this stuff?

Let's just say it was refreshing to read a business book that lays out a very practical process that anybody involved in hiring can easily understand and put in play. Having a staffing company and sales background has made me keenly aware of the lack of basic, effective hiring practices in many, if not most of the companies I have gotten to know over the years. This seems especially useful for the growth company, where any entrepreneur knows the pain inflicted by reactive hiring and losing good candidates. An easy read that provides a solid recruiting and hiring strategy. No gimmicks here.

A good book about rethinking of hiring

You know these "walking dead" in your company. They are there collecting their paychecks, but you can't count them on any projects. Sometime you wonder how these people get hire in your company. In this book, "Hire, Fire, and Walking Dead", the author clearly illustrates the right approach of hiring people. If you start hiring people only when someone left the job, it is already too late. Hiring is not putting a wanted ad in the newspaper or Monster.com, it is a continue process of building the talent. The book offers paradigm changing for managers thinking about the process of hiring, at the same time it offers details techniques of finding the "right" people. I recommend this book to HR managers or business owners who think of building a team for their company.

I received my copy of the book and it is so practical and useful that I have already begun to use its strategies. The ideas and explanation in Hire, Fire, and the Walking Dead, are not just for HR managers, or business owners, it is for anyone who wishes to start a business, and for anyone who would like to become a manager someday. Most people become managers because they perform well in their jobs, but creating a team that is efficient and productive can be any managers most difficult job. Greg Moran explains in his book how to do this. Beyond the value of the book you can expect success in anything you decide to do, because great people stand behind any great product and this book will teach you how to get those great people. I completely recommend this for anyone interested in success.
