Good manga about dorm roommates

Although it’s a Sasaki and Miyano spinoff manga. I liked it.

Hirano and Kagiura Volume 1 (A Senior Very Close To His Junior)

This spinoff series is based on Shou Harusono’s Sasaki and Miyano series. Taiga Hirano is depicted as a bad boy upperclassman who is also on the disciplinary committee. However, he does have a soft side that he doesn’t show to just anybody. His roommate Akira Kagiura is in love with Hirano because of his kindness. Hirano does watch Kagiura’s basketball games, as depicted in the beginning. The first chapter begins with Hirano taking care of Kagiura when he’s sick and Hirano’s routine of waking up Kagiura. It’s cute. Later, Hirano has to cheer up Kagiura because Kagiura is depressed about missing the last basket in his game. Ultimately, that point cost them the game. Hirano discovers Kagiura practicing late at night and decides to join him until they are forced to leave the gym. Hirano gets Kagiura’s confidence and basketball mojo back. I love how Kagiura always has to go to his friend, Juuya Niibashi, all about how kind Hirano is to him. The third chapter shows Hirano leaving with his school group, including Shuumei Sasaki and Masato Hanzawa. Kagiura is dependent on Hirano that he doesn’t know what to do with himself. It is a tough time for Kagiura, but he cheers up when he hears Hirano say he’s important. Kagiura does tell Niibashi about his plans to marry Hirano. With Kagiura’s birthday fast approaching, Hirano brainstorms some birthday gift ideas. He even asks Sasaki, Miyano, and Hanzawa—all ending up in utter failures. Hirano decides to play to Kagiura’s basketball tastes and takes him to a game. The two enjoy their day, but the time comes when Kagiura is ready to express his feelings for Hirano. Everything seems perfect until Hanzawa interrupts. Will Kagiura ever be able to confess to Hirano without someone intervening? I can’t wait to find out. Shou Harusono’s new content with Hirano and Kagiura is fantastic. The art and narrative are enthralling. I am always interested in discovering new characters, like Niibashi. Again, I can’t wait to read more.
