I liked this book because it had tons of action scenes in it. I liked it because it was about the army and lots of people in my family went to the army. I also liked it because it got me to know that the Vietnam war was really horrible. Lots of people were killed. It let me know that war is a horrible place o be especially when you are the frontline soldier. That's why I liked this book. I would recommend this book to readers that are age like me a freshman. the reason I would recommend it to freshman's(9th graders) is because it is a long book and you wont understand some of the profanity in it. Recommending to ages like me are good because you would already know some back ground about the Vietnam war. I also recommend it because it has lots of action on shooting, fighting, blood, and gore. That's why I would recommend this book to freshman's(9th graders).

I bought this book at a book fair in kindergarten and never got around to reading it until it was out of print four years ago. I love the book and every time I read it fall in love with the characters. The story is great and the series is to. Highly recomended

I've have read all his books in the series of Echo Company. This is one of the best vietnam, or rather any war book I've ever read.
You are cheating yourself by not reading this

This is the second book out of the Echo Company series and one of the better ones. Funny and thought-provoking, it is a shame that this series of books are out of print. The style of writing is fantastic and you literally fall in love with the characters. I read this book several times and still find it as ammusing as ever.
I think he writes the best books.
