Very useful information, especially for someone who is just getting ready to start travel nursing. I will keep this for future reference during my travels. Highly recommended.

must read before traveling

This book explains all of the ins and outs of travel nursing. I wish I had read this before I signed a contract.Taxes, per diem, housing, pets it's all in here. Plus the indepth info on many of the travel agencies is very helpful in narrowing down your decision on who to sign with.

I also believe there is no perfect travel company, but each nurse can benefit by doing their homework in Highway Hypodermics to determine which company best fits them. Like in all of life, it is very hard to have a company that is tops in pay, service and benefits. Each nurse needs to determine which is most important to them and find the company that best delivers that need. I do agree that a good recruiter needs to know their nurse's strengths, likes and desires. And a pro-active recruiter is always a benefit to all involved. Thanks for what you do for the industry.
