Not particularly enjoyable and a little misleading.

Much of the "voice" of the diarist is forced and unappealing. She's not a particularly likable character surrounded by other characters who are fairly cliche. Most of the story focuses on the causes leading up to the main character becoming a "highway girl," with very little devoted to the her actually being one. By the time I reached the point where she becomes an outlaw, I just wanted the book to be over.
