Book 3 of The Blue Ridge Legacy historical fiction series. With WWII's changes beginning to affect the area, the mountain community's long-held traditions could vanish forever. Bringing closure to Abigail's story, this is an unforgettable glimpse into America's rich history.
This was just one book in an excellent series of books about people living in the mountains over a long period of time. They are well written and you want to keep reading the series to find out what happens to all the family members. Some of the history in it was not totally accurate (the Air Force was not in existance in the beginning of World War II - it was the Army Air Corp), but you can overlook this because the stories are so engrossing.
The best of Parker's Blue Ridge series!

This is one book you will not be able to put down! If you enjoyed the first two books in the Blue Ridge Legacy series, you'll love this one. It's definitely the best of the three. I was sorry to finish it, knowing that I wouldn't have the chance to follow the characters any farther. Their lives had become real to me.
