Great book!

What can I say Groden pinned it perfectly. A must read if your at all interested in the subject.

A thorough and overall objective analysis of the JFK assasination.

The authors do a very credible and thorough job of bringing to light facts that make it very difficult to believe that a lone gunman killed JFK from the rear. The forensic medical evidence, including eye witness reports from multiple health care workers who directly saw the President's wounds, is particularly compelling, as is evidence that the autopsy films and other documents were altered. Convincing analysis of the Zapruder film, is also presented, as well as detailed analysis of photographs, including some apparently faked photos of Oswald. The deaths of multiple witnesses in so short of a period of time is not only further suggestion of cover up of a conspiracy, but is very chilling as well. The evidence presented is detailed and rather technical at times, but it seems that this approach is essential if the real facts are to be uncovered. If there is a weakness to the book, it is that the authors sometimes damage their credibility slightly by being overly speculative at times, and sometimes engage in "purple prose" where a more even-handed approach would have been more suitable. But on a topic of such emotionality and divisiveness, the book is overall very level headed and objective. Due to the comprehensiveness and technicality of some of the material, this might not be a good introduction to the topic. However, if you are already familiar with the basic issues surrounding the assassination, or if you enjoy such detailed material, this book would be an excellent choice.

Very Informative

This was the book that introduced me to the mysteries surrounding the JFK Assassination. Recently, I revisited this book and read it again. I am glad I did. I found this book to be an interesting read. I also found it to be very direct and to the point about what the authors think happened. I appreciated how they lined the information out step by step by step to back up their beliefs. I was particularly interested in the unusual deaths of those people who are associated with the JFK murder. The large number of deaths in the unusual manners indicate a conspiracy if nothing else does. I like that this was covered in this book because many books tend to miss this point. There are many conspiracy theories out there. I found that this one had proof and evidence that seemed to back up what might have happened. This is a good book and can be a good introduction to the JFK mystery.

Thorough review of all pertinent data.

Though it can be a little dry at times, ' High Treason' is an upfront, clear and concise accounting of the events surrounding 22 Nov 1963. The dryness can only be attributed to the complete and thourough inclusion of all pertinent evidence relevent to a murder investigation of this type. Too many of these books tend to sell a story to the reader, and while 'High Treason'does contain some great 'Sound Bites', the research is sound and provacative. The thoroughness of this investigation is more than the culmination of the author's lifetime of work, it is an insight into a decade gone wrong. How the Warren Commission could espouse it's findings is a question that can only be answered by historians decades away. If you are serious about learning about one of the greatest travesties in U.S. history, this is a great place to start.
