I loved it as much as the first

High Intensity is Dara Joy's follow up to High Energy. I loved the first book and I love this one too. The book is about the offbeat, comical and extremely HOT relationship between Tyber an genius physisist and Zanita a kooky small town reporter. There is a lot of sex (yes, some of us like that in our romance) mixed in with comedy and action. It reminds me of the movie Bringing up Baby with Katherine Hepburn and Carey Grant but with a contemporary twist. If Dara Joy desides to continue this series, I would buy every one!!!

Psychics and Physics in one Hilarious Book

If you like your romance with a lot of guffaws, then this is the book for you. I could not put this book down and I received many strange looks from those around me as I laughed with every turn of the page. The hero is mar-r-r-r-velous (read the book, you'll get the quote) and heroine is a perfect match for him. Ms. Joy is a wonderful writer who knows how to keep the plot moving and the reader entranced. If you love to laugh, love quirky characters and steamy sex scenes, this is perfect choice for your next read and a definite keeper.

Think outside the box

I think that the problem most of the reviewers had with this book is that it does not follow the standard romance formula - Boy meets Girl, Boy and Girl fall in contempt, Boy and Girl realize they love each other, Boy and Girl get married.Before you pick up this book you need to do two things:1. Read "High Energy" first, not 100% required, but it will increase the enjoyment.2. Realize that Dara Joy is not your "standard" romance writer.Dara has done something here that is very refreshing for the genre and I think her gamble really paid off. She writes with a curtsy to the Thin Man series and a tongue planted firmly in her cheek. I have yet to be disappointed by her work!

Lighthearted Fun!

I found this book to be lighthearted and funny...I burst out laughing so many times my assistant at work probably thought I was nuts! We read many romance novels by most popular authors during our breaks and I enjoyed Dara Joy's High Intensity much more than most. The characters were all realistic in an absurd way and the plot filled with twists and turns...I especially loved the "surprise" endings...never what I expected!
