Never recieved my book

Says it was delivered Saturday, it never was.

Too much fun!

My three year old daughter has an odd bug phobia and this book is the best! The graphics and story are so funny that I actually don't mind reading it over and over. I get as much of a kick out of it as she does. Of the 100+ books we have for our kids this is my reigning favorite!

Terrific

"Flies can't be pets! Flies are Pests!" is what Buzz thinks while he is searching for a new pet to enter the pet contest. Then, THIS fly says the boy's name, Buzz. Buzz is delighted and names him Fly Guy. When his parents hear Fly Guy call their son's name they also understand just how smart the fly really is. Now, Can Buzz and Fly Guy convince the judges at the pet show? What a terrific early reader this book is. It is a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book and deservedly so. Ted Arnold's comic illustrations punctuate the story and provide plenty of laughs. I was chuckling at every page. An emerging reader will find the large font very easy to read. The book even has chapters. I think guys will especially crack up at this fly comedy.

GREAT Easy Reader "Chapter" Book

It is SOOO difficult to find amusing and interesting easy reader books. I stumbled upon this book (and the sequel, "Super Fly Guy") when looking for books for a student I am tutoring. It is probably a primer to 1st grade level text, but it has "chapters" which makes it seem a bit "older" to the student, thus building their confidence level. In addition, it has FABULOUS illustrations and children think the story is hilarious. I rarely buy hardback easy readers, but this one was worth the extra investment. I can hardly wait until the next book in the series comes out in September 2006!

Short and sweet!

My first grader had had this 2 days and he has read it out loud to us and his friend half a dozen times. It has given him a big confidence boost in his reading ability. He even wants to take the book into class so HE can read out loud to them, amazing. It is a funny cute story with adorable illustrations, we want more Fly Guy and Buzz stuff!! Best spent $5.99 this week.

A fun book for beginning readers

My son is just getting the hang of reading. We have read many of the Hillert and Capuccilli books with great enjoyment. As I was walking through the book store I saw this book. We have enjoyed many of Tedd Arnold's books together through the years. I was thrilled when I opened this one up and saw that it would be perfect and fun practice reading for my son. At first he was skeptical that he would be able to read it alone but after the first couple pages he was reading and giggling along. Since his first reading he has wanted to share this book with others. I would highly reccommend this as a fun book to make reading enjoyable for those who are just getting into the swing of it.
