Experiences of a Homeboy.

The writer was very accurate in the details of Milton Snavely Hershey's Life. I was a Homeboy at Hershey Industrial School from 1939 to 1950. During my elementary education, I was assigned to Cottage(D)DAUPHIN,where I learned discipline, cleanliness, self-confidence and character. I was never brutalized by my house parents. During my teenage years, I was assigned to EVERGREEN, Farm No.46. I learned hard work, team work and participated in many sports. In High School, I took College Preparatory course beacuse I wanted to attend college. The Korean War in the 1950's changed my plans although I later became an Engineer on the G.I. Bill. I met Milton Hershey at his 88th Birthday and thanked him for everything that he did for me. I have led a wonderful life.
