Great read

This book is exceptional. It reminds Latter Day Saints that we do not move from the standards of the Lord to embrace and nurture other doctrine. We bring others to the Lord's gospel by standing firmly planted in the sacred grove. McConkie writes with a very readable and inspiring style. A great read.
Made me reevaluate my testimony

As a Mormon, I know how common it is to want to be accepted by mainstream Christianity. Fortunately, that eternal argument is not the point of this book. Here McConkie defends Mormonism on all of which it claims to found upon. He focuses on the things that separate Mormonism from other religions and why Mormons should be proud. McConkie should be given credit for the incredible way in which he presents this book. His writing is eloquent and to-the-point, and the book comes off as part-testimony, part-text for a convincing defense of what he holds most dear. Beyond this he leaves room for personal inspiration and insight. My personal copy has been marked and highlighted beyond recognition.
