Great Dinosaur Easter Book!

Reviewed by Cayden Aures (age 5 ½) and Mom for Reader Views (04/10) The Easter Bunny has a cold and asks his friend T. Rex to help him out and deliver the children their Easter Eggs. T. Rex doesn't really have hopping down pat and ends up breaking most of the eggs. What is he going to do? Cayden: "Do you know what my favorite dinosaur is? It is a t-rex and there is one in this book! He is helping the Easter bunny but he is having trouble because he doesn't know how to hop because he is a dinosaur. He breaks a lot of eggs so they have to make all new ones. My favorite picture in the book is when all of the dinosaurs are sleeping in the bed and there are millions of colored eggs on it. I didn't like when they slept too late though. That wasn't a good idea. The end of the book was pretty funny too!" Parent's comments: Right when I saw the title of this book I knew my son would enjoy it! He loves all things dinosaur and "Here Comes T. Rex Cottontail" was no exception. We thoroughly loved this original Easter book!

Really cute and fun -- not just for Eastertime

What happens when Peter Cottontail gets a cold the day before Easter? His friend T-Rex steps in, that's what. When he breaks the eggs that he picks up from the Easter Bunny's house, his other dino friends Iguanodon, Stegasaurus, and Diplodocus help out by collecting eggs from some unlikely sources. _Here Comes T. Rex Cottontail_ by Lois Grambling is a clever story about helping each other and caring for each other. The drawings by Jack E. Davis are exaggerated and larger-than-life. They aren't my favorite type of illustrations, but my 5 1/2 year old son gravitated to this book right away. The story is creative and funny. I think that the drawings and the larger amount of text on a page make this book perfect for older picture-book readers, especially dinosaur-lovers.

Fun for all ages

Silly phrases and an upbeat twist on an Easter tradition, this book hits the spot for a new treat for kids of all ages to enjoy. Funny and educational.
