Great color photos teamed with information for each herb on *How to Grow *How to Harvest *How to Use There's a brief description of each as well. Like the other reviewer, I've had this book for 20 years with my collection of herbals. This is the one I turned to most often. I like the alphabetic arrangment that makes each herb easy to find. The front section shows a variety of herb gardens (some famous ones, a triangle, mixing herbs & roses, etc.) The book ends with instructions for making potpourri, lavender bundles, herb butters and a variety of recipes and crafts. I highly recommend this one and it surprizes me that it is no longer in print.
Enthusiastic, helpful, makes you want to dig in!

I've had a copy for years and it is the first I pick up as it is easy to use, the infomation is good and the pictures help bring the beauty of the herbs to life. Good use of the herbs in the culinary, decoration and craft areas, makes them a delight. A very good book on herbs!
