Have you ever wanted something so bad you knew you would get it? Tess Baker is an investigative reporter at a magazine, and she knew the envelope she was handed at the team meeting would finally land her in the league with her fellow colleagues who not only gets recognition from the editor but receives exciting investigative assignments that take them around the world. Her assignment a trip to Pennsylvania Amish country. Her heart is filled with anger and resentment not being assigned to a more exciting destination she sets off to Pennsylvania where she is determined to find a scandal in the Amish community and write that article where she finally will receive that important recognition. What she didn’t expect to find are four Amish women, a young boy, and “Miss Lottie” who embrace her into their lives lifting the clouds that darken her heart bringing warmth, sunshine, and hope, and Jack, a fellow “Englisher” who slowly chips away at the ice that encases her heart.
