Contemporary Romance

Her Cowboy King is a contemporary romance by Madeline Ash. Never having read any books by this author I didn't know quite what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and liked the story. It actually kind of reminded me of Hallmark movies which is a good thing since I like Hallmark movies. I was pretty sure where the romance of Princess Ava and King Markus was going to end up but it was fun watching their romance develop. The plot moved along fairly quickly and there were a couple very 'wow, I really did not see that coming' scenes. I liked how the story has identical triplet brothers and how they look after and stand up for each other. Readers who like contemporary romance with a little cowboy and a little royalty thrown in will enjoy Her Cowboy King. I'll add a small disclaimer here since I usually review books in the Christian genre, there is one fairly steamy love scene and a smattering of cuss words in the book. I read a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
