Always a Favorite

From the day my parents bought this book as a gift for my older brother, it has captivated me. It tells the touching story of the Bergen family, who were forced to leave their homes in Russia and become unwanted refugees. Young Henry is confused and afraid. What boy in his situation wouldn’t be? How long will they be able to stay at the Mennonite Central Committee’s refugee shelter? They can’t live there forever. Yet, to escape would require them to cross the dangerous Communist Zone. Can God really make a path through seemingly insurmountable obstacles? Grandmother tells of how the LORD parted the waters of the Red Sea so the Children of Israel could cross over. Henry begins to pray for a miracle, that God would make a way for them. And He does! This thrilling story will strengthen your faith in the One Who can do everything. Buy this book, read it to your children.
