Hilarious and true and inspirational, Hello, My Name is Mommy is for every pregnant woman and new mother who ever felt helpless and out of control instead of confident and aglow.
Sure, women know pregnancy is no bed of roses, but Lynch taps into her own dysfunctional childhood and fears about becoming a mom to label a much profounder worry many moms-to-be have: that their own pasts were so screwed up that they're doomed to repeat...
Finally a pregnancy book that isn't all roses and tells you the truth. I had ordered a bunch of pregnancy books right when we found out we were pregnant and after a rough 7 months I ended up defacing the smiling, happy pregnant women on all the covers. Not with this book. It is very funny and still informative. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is having a challenging pregnancy or is just a little nervous about what to expect when baby arrives.

I recently got a copy of Sheri's book for my mom who grew up in a dysfunctional childhood -- she too thought she was going to screw up me and my sister but that hasn't happened. After talking to my mom on the phone recently... she mentioned how much she could relate to the issues Sheri has gone through and enjoyed her writing style. With Sheri being a leading radio talent... I wonder if she has considered doing a recording for Audiobooks. In summation... Sheri's story would make a great Lifetime Channel movie.

Sheri carefully journaled her thoughts and feelings during pregnancy and new mommyhood. The honesty and humor in Hello, My Name is Mommy will delight any reader, but will truly speak to pregnant women, new moms, and not-so-new moms! After reading Sheri's book, don't say she didn't warn you about the nitty gritty involved in earning the title Mom. However, the message that becoming MOM is a life-altering experience in so many ways shines through the sleeplessness and leaky breasts Sheri writes about. A perfect read for anyone who has ever been called Mom, this from a mother of five little ones: 9, 8, 4, 2, & 1. I MADE time to read this book!

Moms work hard at mommying, and Sheri's book is a must read for every woman ever called "Mom." The honesty and humor she uses to describe aspects of pregnancy, labor and new motherhood will appeal to hopeful moms, new moms and not-so-new moms. Sheri's book, a journal of sorts, won't stop anyone from becoming pregnant, but is a fun resource for those in the Hello, My name is Mommy state of life! Looking forward to Sheri's next book on Toddlerhood!?! PS: My fifth child is adopted. Pregnancy is hard work!

I used to be a listener of Bob and Sheri when I lived in South Carolina. In 2001, I moved to Rhode Island and it was bye-bye Bob and Sheri. Oh how I miss listening to them in the mornings. I was so excited to learn that Sheri wrote a book. It lived up to every expectation. I just got it in the mail yesterday and I can't put it down. It is blunt, humorous and gives practical advice. A must have book for couples who want to have kids. Thank you Sheri, and what can I do to get a RI station to play your show in the morning??????????
