One of the reasons I gravitate towards the Love-Inspired series is that they feature highly-principled characters who interact with each other in a polite and reasonable manner, settling their conflicts with a mature mindset and respectful tolerance. This is a refreshing change from the typical romance novel where the characters react in negative ways towards each other, using destructive bickering instead of constructive dialogue, supposedly representing tension or attraction. The interaction between all the members of this small, faith-based community was very heartwarming. They were so welcoming and supportive of each other without being pushy or preachy, allowing the protagonists the space to find their own resolutions in their own time. Dani was someone to be admired for her grit and determination to pay back her father's debts and save his ranch, if only she could give up a little of her stubborn independence and allow others inside the protective walls she has built around her. Lucas was also a fine person, if only he could expel the demons that kept him from planting firm roots. I would have liked to read more about the saving of Dani's ranch and less details about the church's drama production, but I realize that involvement in the play provided the spirit of community and self-reflection that was the key to resolving the protagonist's issues. A reader can't help feeling embraced by these caring and kind townspeople, especially matriarch Miss Win, and wistfully longing to live in such a wonderfully accepting and loving place.

I can't really say until I've read it but it sounds wonderful. I haven't found a Love Inspired book that I haven't loved. I recommend them all.
