Good book. Read in one rainy afternoon. I have read about 15 DP books, and most of the I couldn't stop reading. This one is no different. 4 stars b/c I do agree with some of the other comments that the story could be hard to follow or that there just isn't as much drama/passion to really draw you into the book. Still recommend reading it. You won't be disappointed.
Palmer delivers again!!

I read all the negative reviews about this book and I ordered it anyway. I have NEVER EVER read a Palmer book I didnt like or could put down. And this is the same.. I couldnt put it down. Although I can understand why some couldnt keep up, or rather didnt like the charectors. I LOVED THEM. J.B has conflicting emotions and people think Tellie is getting walked on... They are just trying so hard to fight what they feel. I do NOT see Tellie as wishy washy. I see her standing by what she says, even if a weak moment or two does arise. Who doesnt have them? I like the idea of introducing other books, or charectors that lead to books. Grange is just... lol Grange. If there were a Jacobsville. I would want to live there. What an amazing group of people, here is a town that has horrible things happen to actually morally good people. D. Palmer does it again. This is a keeper. If you never read her, you should.
one more story in Jacobsville

diana Palmer writes once more a book that you don't let go until the end. the characters are well delineated and it's wellcome to read an happy end, there are so few happy story in the life now. I should like to know if Grange have his book in the future.
Unsettling, Upsetting, but a damn good story...

I read this story in one sitting without really planning on it. The main character is so arrogant and cruel that I couldn't like him for one minute, and his actions were so unsettling that I still can feel a reaction. Diana Palmer has written a good story that wont leave your mind when you put the book down it lingers and haunts you. I read one other story of the author's The Men of Medicine Ridge where there was a character almost of the same caliber and she knows how to infuse these men with flesh and blood and almost no conscience. I enjoyed both.
