Creative and engaging!

I have struggled hard to find good French language CDs for my 2-yr-old. I speak French with her on a daily basis, so the CDs that have more English than French tend to be uninteresting at best, and painful at worst. For example, if you're going to listen to a CD dozens of times, how often do you want to hear instructions about how to use the CD? Ugh. I can tell that this CD is a winner, because my daughter puts it on frequently, and I enjoy listening to it, as well. It would be awesome if this CD included a sentence that actually used each French word that's introduced, rather than just having the vocabulary words stand alone. But besides that critique, this is one of the most fun, entertaining, and effective CDs we have yet found. I also bought it for my nieces, ages 7 and 9, and they really like it, too, so it doesn't feel like a "toddler" learning tool.

easy, and true immersion

This is a nice change from the say-something-in-English-immediately-translate-it-into-French type of audio products out there. The CD has the sound that something makes (for ex, a cat meows, then it says the word "cat" in French). This is the true way for learning a language, immersion. Not translations. This is a good product. The booklet provides the drawings of the words, but we've hardly used it. We play the CD in the car. I loaned the CD to his teacher for the classroom, and this worked well, even though neither of the adults there could speak French. A good purchase.

Nice idea for a CD/book to learn French

My children really enjoyed this CD/Book. They liked the animal sounds; however, the pace of the CD went a little to fast for them, as they are a little young. But, it is a nice addition to the Flip Flop French workbook which is more their speed.
