I'm a novice in the area of corporate compliance and have been asked to help establish a compliance program for a medical practice in a large university hospital environment. I found this book tremendously helpful. I felt that it did an outstanding job of describing the seven elements of a compliance program in concise, easy-to-understand terms. It also provided excellent, realistic recommendations for implementing each element of the program. I found the appendices, sample documents and worksheets to be very helpful. One aspect of the book that I particularly liked was that it explains how to establish a specialty compliance program within the context of a corporate compliance program. This is the challenge that I'm faced with. The other resources that I've found one this topic address setting up a corporate compliance program for an entire institution.
