A Book that Teaches Me Peace and Forgiveness

This is the first self-help book I have read since my first turbulent times. I initially could not understand why I was in the emotional roller coaster rides after a drastic change happen in life, with feelings deeply wounded that I was trying to deny. I like the chapter where the author taught us how to let go of anger and hatred as well as the chapter that makes the comparison of fear-based thinking versus compassion-based thinking. The compassion-based thinking ultimately guided me to be capable to forgive and come into terms of acceptance. Instead of denying and suppressing my anger and hatred for the longest time, I learned how to let go of the both of them, replacing them with love and forgiveness. It was the hardest path I have to walk through but I am thankful for the light and guidance the author offered. There are couple prayers in the book the author teaches us in achieving inner peace. Once every now and then, I pick up the book and read through some of the prayers after a stressful day.
